Tutorial: How to receive Bitcoin donations on your Street Art works. This tutorial explains in 3 steps how to receive Bitcoin donations on your street art works:

Tutorial: How to receive Bitcoin donations on your Street Art works. This tutorial explains in 3 steps how to receive Bitcoin donations on your street art works:

Step 1 — Creating a Bitcoin Portfolio
First, it is necessary to create your wallet , which will generate your reception address (the equivalent of a bank account that belongs to you).
Thanks to this receiving address, you will be able to receive transactions in your wallet.
The Coinomiwallet is one of the easiest to use , available on Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS and Linux.
You are free to use any other wallet: Samurai Wallet , Spot , Electrum … Make sure that the wallet you choose is recognized and trusted because hacks , phishing and scams are commonplace in the world cryptocurrencies.
Download the application .

Once installed, click on “Create new wallet”.

The wallet will generate you your recovery phrase (or “Seed”, which is the private key of your wallet) which is most often a suite of 24 words.

Write down your recovery phrase by hand on a sheet of paper and keep it in a safe place (be careful to keep it private, anyone who owns this sentence becomes the owner of your funds).

Confirm to the wallet that you have correctly noted the recovery phrase and choose a password .
2nd step — Create your QR code visual
From your wallet, you need to generate your QR code of the receiving address .
Go to “Bitcoin BTC” in the wallet.

Click “Receive” (if indicated, choose a reception address “Compatibility” rather than “Default” or “Legacy”).

Bitcoin receive address example1F4bwjr74bmcXwRu53Jh27JRRCWHHd4yrz
You can now retrieve the QR code with a screenshot and save the receiving address .
To put this QR code on your works, there are 2 methods; a very simple and accessible to all (printing on paper and collage) and the second is a little more complicated (cutting stencil) but more durable:
  • The easiest way is to print the QR code on paper with the mention “Bitcoin donations” at the top and your Bitcoin receipt address at the bottom and paste it into your work.

Download this template and add your QR code and receiving address (as above). Check that the address shown corresponds to the QR code by scanning it with a smartphone.
Optional: It is recommended to add your website (or social networks) to allow people to validate that this is your Bitcoin address (and not that of a person posing as you). Of course, this same Bitcoin receiving address must appear on the front page of your site (and in your social networks profile) to allow donors to verify that the funds will be received by you.
Once the sheet is printed, you can paste it on your next street artwork. Prefer flat and smooth surfaces for better adhesion of the poster. We must make sure that it fits in with the signature of the work so that we understand that the gifts are for you.

- The second method is to create a QR code stencil and use a spray bomb to put it in your work.
There are 2 possible cutting techniques: A manual technique that requires some basic DIY. The second technique is to prepare the visual Photoshop and Illustator then to call a provider who will cut the stencil for you.
1st technique — Manual: To make yourself the stencil, you will need a rigid sheet, a cutting support, a cutting scalpel, Masking Tape, a black felt pen, a clamp and a thin square grid.
To make the QR code stencil by hand, see this tutorial .

Once the stencil of QR code is made, make a stencil with the mention “Donate Bitcoin” and add it to the first stencil to understand that this is your Bitcoin reception address. You can write it yourself or use this template (below) that you can print and overlay your rigid sheet.

Once your stencil is ready (“Donate Bitcoin” + QR code), you can put it on your next work with a black paint spray. Prefer flat, smooth and clear surfaces for a better readability of the QR code. We must make sure that the stencil is integrated into the signature of the work to understand that the gifts are for you.
2nd technique — Stencil cutting by a provider: To create a QR code stencil, it is imperative that all the background of the visual is connected to allow cutting of the stencil, for this, it is necessary to go to a site that generates QR compatible stencil code like

Once on the site, choose the “Text” tab and paste your Bitcoin receipt address and click on “Generate QR code”. Your QR code will appear, but the design will not be the right one. There are a few changes to make. In the “Choose patterns” tab on the left, click on the first pattern (which looks like a square grid), then in “Choose eyes”, click on the first box (the basic square “eyes”). Then, in “Set colors”, choose the color black.
Optional: if you wish to add your logo or signature, you can add it in “Add logo”. The file should be as simple as possible, in black with transparent background that connects (compatible with a stencil cut).
Now that the QR code is ready, you can retrieve it with a screenshot or click on “Dowload PNG” and give your email address to receive the QR code as a PNG file.
Then, on Photoshop, it is necessary to couple the grid of your QR code with this model so that the mention “Donations in Bitcoin” and the 3 “Eyes” square of the QR are compatible for a stencil cut. Use overlapping layers and erase old “eyes”.

Finally, download this special stencil typography and use it to enter your Bitcoin receipt address used on your QR code. Check that the address shown corresponds to the QR code by scanning it with a smartphone.
It is strongly recommended to also add your website (or social networks) to allow people to validate that this is your Bitcoin address (and not that of a person posing as you). Of course, this same Bitcoin receiving address must appear on the front page of your site (and in your social networks profile) to allow donors to verify that the funds will be received by you.
Once the visual is ready and fully compatible for stencil cutting, you can vectorize it in Illustrator and save it in EPS or AI format.
Last step, send this file to a provider who makes stencil cutting.
It’s up to you to choose the provider that best suits your location, price and time. Choose a format that suits your job. For large frescoes, larger formats (A2) are preferable, and for smaller works, smaller sizes (A4).

Once you receive the stencil, you can affix it to your next work with a black paint spray. Prefer flat, smooth and clear surfaces for a better readability of the QR code. We must make sure that it fits in with the signature of the work so that we understand that the gifts are for you.

3 — Last step, communicate.
Let all those who follow your work know that they can now support you financially by sending you Bitcoin donations on your Street Art works. You can use the means you have available, your contacts, your website, your social networks …
To help beginners, here is a tutorial that explains how to buy Bitcoin.
To track the transactions you receive, you can open your wallet regularly to see your balance.
To receive a notification when you receive a donation, you can use your Wallet to track transactions at an address of your choice.
The public can also see your balance received on your address thanks to blockchain explorers.
Here is the balance of a donation address: 3Pboy9ucGEdQUHNu2rrC6RGq4jouRc4Grb
If you receive a lot of donations, it is a good opportunity to communicate on the amount received.
Good luck and good creation!
Why use Bitcoin?
The money you receive is 100% in your possession because you are the sole owner of your private key (recovery phrase, or “Seed”), unlike other centralized means of payment (Banks, Paypal, Ulule, Patreon. ..), Bitcoin happens totally of intermediary of confidence.
How do I use Bitcoin?
Thanks to your wallet you create a private key and a public address. The private key (recovery phrase, or “Seed”) is a bit like the key to your digital vault that you need to keep only for yourself. The public address is your RIB to receive transactions, you can share it publicly without problem.
How do I exchange my bitcoins for USD?
You can at any time send your bitcoins on an exchange online ( Coinbase …) to convert them into currency (Euro, Dollar …). You need to create an account on one of these exchange exchanges, convert your funds into the desired currency and then make a transfer to your bank account.
A faster solution may be to use a centralized service provider that offers a Bitcoin wallet connected to a credit card to spend your bitcoins directly ( Wirex , Coinbase …).

Why we need to adopt the pure green circle Bitcoin Cash logo. Please read.

There's been a lot of discussion about logos and colors and different ideas popping up. I've had a few different opinions myself, but having more discussion, Time_Value_of_Money has swayed me into wanting to adopt the pure circle green logo like Coinbase.
First, please take a look at the logo on It does not fit. It does not look good. It looks weak. Take another look here: Also looks very weak and appearing smaller than its counterparts. We want the full circle and full size B. We want the logo to be as big and as bold as possible.
Time_Value_of_Money explains...
A rectangle is not a good use of square screen real estate - see the BCH logo on the front-page of A [green] circular logo, or at least more "square" logo fits limited screen real estate better.
I agree I like the pure circle. Coinbase green pastel circle to be exact. Coinmarketcap and others will look to Bitcoincash as a "reference". The logo we champion is a lighthouse to the broader world. Our decision on logo style and color matters here.
Yes! Exactly! A rectangle is a poor use of "square" or "circular" screen real estate.
Moreover, we need to use green as a means to differentiate. I am convinced Coinbase has done it's due diligence on choosing a purely circular green pastel logo.
Orange is a disliked color by most people. Remember, our audience is NOT current BCH or former BTC users, it is people who do not own a single satoshi. Second, I can't find the source, but I recall seeing research pastel colors like Coinbase's are more welcoming than darker colors.
These reasons have me completely convinced that we should adopt the pure green circle with upward tilted "B" as the logo for Bitcoin Cash similar or the same to how Coinbase presents it. We should apply it to /bitcoincash and get Coinmarketcap to change it ASAP.
edit: here is a visual of the Coinbase BCH logo photoshopped onto CMC: Discuss.

A German Bitcoin miner company, locksmiths and a kidnapping

Recently, a new company appeared on the German bitcoin scene. It's called YesMiners and claims to offer 10 TH/s and 20 TH/s miners.
Of course they take preorders and of course they want the money upfront via bank transfer or Bitcoin, both of which are non-reversible. There are also no photographs of ... anything, really. They have a sexy Photoshop of how a miner could theoretically look like, though.
So far, it looks like a run-of-the-mill scam. It becomes more interesting when you look at the owner of the company, one Volker Studier.
The name is linked to a company called Schlossheld GbR. The company is now called Schlossheld GmbH i.G., which looks like they re-formed an unlimited partnership into a limited-liability company - which would be a normal process. However, while Schlossheld purports to be a consumer advocate, it lost a lawsuit against a locksmith.
Their business model was simple: They called up locksmiths and asked them to submit to a test - which the locksmiths would have to pay for. If the locksmiths refused, they put them up on a website claiming they were "black sheep" and "not to be recommended". Classic extortion.
Now, it gets even better. According to the YesMiners imprint, the company responsible is one PYC Pylon Consulting GmbH. On their website, they link back to YesMiners, as well as some vague text about what they do.
Digging deeper, a "V. Studier" is the CEO of a Pylon Quality Management GmbH & Co. KG which has a similar logo and the same address. On their "Persons" page, they list a Volker Studier born in 1964. The very exhaustive "About" page claims they do "any kind of troubleshooting".
Now, there's an article from January 7th, 1999 floating around about the kidnapping of a millionaire's son for ransom. It contains the sentence
Das Hamburger Landgericht verhängte am Mittwoch acht Jahre Gefängnis gegen den 34 Jahre alten Angeklagten Volker Studier, der seinen damaligen Bekannten Janssen im Juni 1998 in die Falle gelockt hatte.
which translates to:
The Hamburg district court sentenced defendant Volker Studier, 34 years old, to eight years in prison. He lured his acquaintance Janssen [the guy who got kidnapped] into the trap in June 1998.
Did you do the math? 1999 (the year from which the article is from) minus 34 is 1965. Since the article is from January 7th, he likely did not have his birthday already, which would mean this Volker Studier's birthyear would be 1964.
Is this proof of anything? Of course not. Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe it's identity theft. But I think it's interesting enough to warrant a post.

[OFFER] Original 2D logo design from $25 to $50, depending on satisfaction!

Hello, /slavelabour! I’m a Japanese hobbyist graphic designer, and I’ve been offering logo design services on a Japanese site called Wow!me, but I want to offer my services here as well.
Hopefully this'll be the thumbnail image.

The Gist

I can make a company, service, or product logo that is free to use and reuse commercially. Samples of my previous work are available here. Depending on how complex the logo should be, I should be able to complete it in two weeks or sooner.
I will export the logo as PNGs at any size, as well as an SVG file. While PNG files are standard image files readable on any device, SVG files are vector files, making them easily editable, infinitely scalable, and Illustrator compatible.
According to DesignQuote’s, this kind of work will typically set you back about $1000 for a student or offshore designer all in all. I'm doing it for at least 25 Australian Dollars or 2500 yen (whichever is cheaper at the time), with a maximum pay-for-what-you-like of up to 25 AUD or 2500 JPY more.

I have a wealth of volunteer graphic design experience, giving me an edge over typical people who want something designed. I took a course on color coordination at a university while in high school, and my free fonts have been downloaded a total of 497711 times as of 2017-12-25. For something more playful, I have a host of osu! skins available online.

Why the price?

Logo design is my hobby, not my day job. And let’s face it, a casual isn’t enough for all purposes, but hopefully it’ll be much, much better than what the average person with an idea for a company, service, or product can produce. You’ll be the judge.
I don’t use Photoshop or Illustrator for my logo designs, but Inkscape, a free vector graphics editor. But just because the software is free, it doesn’t mean I can’t make great designs with it. In fact, the years of design experience should show.
That being said, the closest thing to 3D computer graphics I’ve made is modeling buildings on SketchUp in high school introductory architecture class. That's not to say I can't make logos that pop out, though.
While I have experience in After Effects, putting enough time to make an animated logo would probably be outside the scope of a hobby.

Methods of payment

Since I'm still 18, and PayPal Japan won't let me accept payments until I'm 20, here are some methods of payment you can use:

1st RDAD Retro-gaming contest !

Welcome to the first RDAD Retro-gaming contest

A bit of History:

As someone could imagine, we need an emulator for play this game (maybe you are lucky enough to be the owner of the real machine.. but nah.. chances are 0,1%). So let's talk a bit of techie details.
There are many emulators that would run nicely the game. These emulators needs a ROM file (An exact copy of the data stored in the original hardware cards inside the arcade machine). Of course, you will need a computer to run the emulator.
In this point, We will tell you that your computer needs very few requirements for run the emulator, so don´t be afraid of your machine's specs.
I'll recomend you to use this emulator: Kawaks
Kawaks is a software designed for Microsoft Windows that would run seamlessly on a wide variety of environments, spanning across all operating system versions since XP. It's higly customizable, but pretty straightforward to get things run.
There are others emulators, like Callus, but Kawaks would work better with your graphic card (whatever it be) and the screenshot feature is easier than Callus. We will need to take screenshots, with whatever emulator you use, because this is the way to post your score, right? This point will be discussed later.
The second component, is the rom. This file contains the whole game. You don´t need to open or decompress this file, it's ok as is, so you only need to download to a folder on your computer.

First Step

You need to download the emulator and the rom. For emulator, go to winkawaks website. Under "downloads" option at the right column, you can download a zip package called 1.63. For the contest, is enought to extract the executable file called winkawaks.exe to a folder.
For rom, you must search using google or similar to a file called (1.4mb). Romnation is a website that offers rom files for direct download.
NOTE: Downloading this type of files could be a Copyright Infringement and I am not responsible whatever damage you could do to your system if you download this type of file. If you are not sure what are you doing, please, do not try to complete this guide.

Second Step

After downloading the Rom file put winkawaks.exe and rom file to a folder on your hard drive (we will need this folder ahead, so keep in mind this detail). This is a pretty straightforward process. ATTENTION: Keep the rom zip file as is, decompressing is not needed. After that, you must execute this: WinKawaks.exe This is a portable version of the emulator, so you will not need to install anything on your computer.

Third Step

Ok, I feel your excitement, so double click!. The emulator will show you a message about auto-configure the optimal graphics options. After that, you are in the main screen with the SNK and CAPCOM logo.
Let´s do a quick tweak, head your pointer to File Menu, and then: Configure Paths.
We will see a bunch of paths, but we are looking specifically at two under labels: ROMS2 and SCREENSHOTS. Clicking on browser buttons will bring you an explorer and you will choose this: ROMS2: Find the directory where you uncompressed the whole thing on Second Step. SCREENSHOTS: Choose your directory where the snapshots will be saved for further use. THIS IS IMPORTANT Because the contest relies on your ability to post those screenshots.
We have time restraints, lets play! DAMN!. Point on File Menu -> Load Game. A gorgeus windows open in your eyes with a great lists of fine game for mature adults, but dont feel too excited, we only have one, CARRIER AIR WING, remember?, so let´s do some filtering setting the bulleted options to: Only available and then: Refresh. Does you see the game title? Yes? C'MON Put your speakers to 200% volume and double click! YaY!
I will not explain you how to play, it's self explanable after 20 seconds.. choose your plane and pew pew pew..
And thats all! Nice? yes!

The contest

Ok, After finish the setup and play the game, let's talk about the contest. This will run a whole week starting at XXX and finishing at XXX Every time you die, you will be asked for your initials, and you will see the top chart. In this moment, TAKE A SCREENSHOT WITH THIS KEYS: CTRL + P (Only for Kawaks). This will spawn a PNG file on the directory set on Third Step under the label SCREENSHOTS. This is your entry to the contest. You must send a link to the PNG file (by imgur i.e.) to me and I'll collect all. Win the player with highest score.
Additional Info:
You can use whatever emulator of your choice, maybe you'd prefeer callus, or mame.. or play with a modded Xbox.. but I don´t know how to get screenshots on those ways. Additionally, we could accept any format that you are capable of snap the score chart. So set your smartphone ready, right? If you use CALLUS, take in mind that you need to lower your screen deep colour to 16 bits and you will be able to take a screenshot with Windows: PRNT SCREEN key.. Callus is easy, but this is a pain!
What if the score chart hides after 2 or 3 seconds? Wait until the intro. The machine will show you the current chart. (Did you remember the alert about clogging the machine with coins? This is because the machine will not show the chart if coins inserted, so you must expend all the coins prior to see the chart again).
Can I use my USB pad! well, some pads works, some could try it under the Game menu, Redefine Keys.. and try it.
NOTE TO CHEATTERS: Due to the nature of emulators is more than easy to make cheats in game, like spawn more lives, slow down the pace, etc.. So we strongly encourage our participants to not do any cheat. We don´t cheat! right?. Well, in this point I want to say that there are better systems to play due to keyboards, gamepads. We cannont warrant a perfect balance between contestants, so please, don´t take things too serious, NefariousOaf will win, isnt?. Oh, it's possible to "continue" the game using the 2nd player slot, but this will be considered as cheat!, so only one live!
Using USB pads will not be considered cheat. Keys works flawlessly, but due to the wide spectrum of hardware available, maybe your keyboard will not work nice, so feel free to ask and I'll try to find a solution, alternative keys, etc..
At last! Feel absolutely free to ask me any details involving your set-up, mechanics, whatever..
Special Thanks to jpier for his help! he's a good man.
UPDATE at 05/10/2015
Update First Step: Removing direct link download due to copyright concerns. Update Second Step with new details about ROM and Emulator and the way it works. Update Date Format to dd/mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy on Post's dates.
Pew pew pew..boom!

[PAID] Need Logo For Game

I'm working on my game (link), and have recently been using the Burnblade UI (link), however I need a logo that uses the name of my game in the same style as the rest of the UI.
I'm really not looking for anything fancy. Just the text Senacia, nicely beveled with cracks, and so on. Possibly with a frame behind it. We can discuss the details later.
I'd like to get this done in the next 2-3 days, so PM me if you're interested. I don't think this will be too complicated, it just requires photoshop skills that are above what I'm capable of. I can pay via Paypal, bitcoin, or another method if you prefer something else.
Thanks for reading!
